Six months since the last scissorkast and it’s not due to a lack of good music. Just have my hands full. I promise to get more regular with these, especially since I’ve digitized about 1000 records since the last podcast.

Since the start of the year, 2009 is turning out some epic records, and I’ve aimed to capture the last few months with some of my favorite tracks off of some of those records. The first half of this podcast focuses on more moody, subtle tracks, with the emphasis on acoustic and instrumental road-tripping type stuff. The second half, confirming my conflicted and contradictory nature, flips the mix and rocks out ending in an epic crescendo of beautiful noise. I hope you enjoy. This was a fun one to put together.

One quick note: You’ve probably noticed that the Scissorkasts focus more on electronic and rock music. For a sampling of  more funky, eclectic, and beat-oriented stuff, check out our radio show, Bastard Jazz Radio (with DJ DRM and Paul Diggs) on BrooklynRadio.net. We have about 8 shows currently posted with 2 more in the bag and ready to rock.
