Back in the early days of Scissorkick, we posted a short video showing the guitar/beatbox/singing exploits of our friend Mike B, The Invisible Man. Since that time, Mike has put together a great new album and assembled an eclectic lineup for its release party tomorrow in Brooklyn. Make sure you get yourself out there if you can as I will be supporting The Invisible Man by DJing throughout the night between sets and afterwards.
You might think that “Awakening” is little more than tight classical guitar, a simple beatbox breakbeat and some nasal humming. But remember this: Mike does this all at the same time. He’s a truly unique performer who is fully dedicated to his craft and 100% committed to the live performance. He will also have some very special guests with him. The closest subway is the F train to York – right out of the subway, left on Plymouth, 5 minute walk
Alternatively, A or C to High St, straight down High St, right on Front, left on Adams. Adams dead-ends under the bridge at Plymouth, and the loft is on that corner. 8 min walk.
