hey steve, nice work on the podcast. more please! i host a weekly radio show here in sydney so i can appreciate the effort that goes in, and truthfully i think podcasting is more of a pain in the arse to produce than live programming so it’s doubly appreciated. really enjoy yr blog too, it’s such a great source of new music!

Very good podcast, much improved in my opinion over the first scissorkast.

I did notice something strange. The Cougar song is listed on iTunes as “Pulse Conditioner” as track number 4 while track number 5 would be “Interracial Dating”. Could be their mistake.

Discovered scissorkick not too long ago, so I look forward to exploring all the archives and any new posts as well !

Another great podcast! Although the first one was slightly more intriguing… but this is just the way I percieve it! Thanks for fixing the volume problem, it’s much better now!

@Brigitte: I think he’s using the podpress plugin for wordpress. there is a button linking to their site above the “ad-free blog” button.

Thanks _explosions. Nice catches. I fixed them. Yeah, basically for this one, I recorded it and realized it was just too low. So I had to raise the +DB on the entire thing but I listened to it this morning on headphones and it sounded pretty good. Hopefully I will continue to improve the sound quality until it’s just right. Thanks!

i agree with gilhoo.
thanks for the work you put into this podcast, as well as the whole site.
one note about the sound quality, it sounds like the music is a little hot in the mix, some parts seem to be breaking up. i tried a couple different headphones to make sure. for an example of what i mean, listen to the itunes music store sample of “jenny again” by tunng, and compare to the scissorkast podcast version. try the same with aim’s “it’s later than you think”, (which is the track you posted, as opposed to the listed “birchwood”). sort of a nit-picky detail, but one that it seems you’d be interested in.

is the extra s in today’s post significant? or am i being a jerk for pointing it out?
