It sounds like the engineer accidentally left one of the faders down during mixing. Perhaps that's the point of the style? Or maybe I'm just a sucker for lyrical melody. I like it, but I would love it with a good, slow-moving melody and some vague poetry overtop. I like it a lot (especially the drumming), but I can’t help creating melodies in my head as I listen.
